- What is military time?
- Military time uses a 24-hour clock instead of the 12-hour AM/PM system. For example, 2:00 PM becomes 14:00, and midnight is 00:00. It eliminates AM/PM confusion and is standard in military, healthcare, and logistics.
- How do I convert 12-hour time to 24-hour time?
- For PM times, add 12 to the hour (e.g., 2:30 PM becomes 14:30). For AM times, keep the hour the same (e.g., 9:00 AM stays 09:00). Midnight is 00:00 and noon is 12:00.
- Does this calculator handle overnight shifts?
- Yes. If your end time is earlier than your start time, the calculator automatically treats it as an overnight shift. For example, start 22:00 and end 06:00 will correctly calculate 8 hours minus breaks.
