- A WiFi QR code encodes your network name (SSID), password and security type using the standard WIFI: format. When someone scans the QR code with their phone, it automatically connects to your WiFi network without typing the password.
- Is my WiFi password sent to a server?
- No. Your WiFi password is encoded directly into the QR code in your browser. It is never uploaded to DateToolsHub or any other server. The QR code is static and self-contained.
- What security types are supported?
- The generator supports WPA/WPA2, WEP, and open (no password) networks. WPA/WPA2 is the most common security type for home and office networks.
- Can I use this for a hidden network?
- Yes. Check the "Hidden network" option and the QR code will include a flag that tells the scanning device the SSID is not broadcast.
