How the response time calculator works
Enter the date and time a ticket or request was received, choose your response SLA (e.g., 4 business hours), and the calculator finds the exact deadline. It only counts time within your configured business-hours window and skips weekends and public holidays. If a ticket arrives after hours, the clock starts at the next business day.
Frequently asked questions
- How is response time different from SLA deadline?
- Response time typically uses business hours rather than calendar days. For example, a '4 business hours' response SLA starting at 10 AM with business hours 9 AM–5 PM would have a deadline of 2 PM the same day. This calculator handles business-hour calculations correctly.
- Can I set my business hours?
- Yes. The calculator lets you set a custom business-hours window (e.g., 9 AM–5 PM). When calculating deadlines in business hours, only time within that window is counted.
- Does the calculator handle after-hours tickets?
- Yes. If a ticket arrives outside business hours, the calculator automatically moves the start time to the next business day's opening and then counts the response time from there.
- Is my data private?
- Yes. All calculations run locally in your browser. No dates, times, or SLA data are ever uploaded to any server.
